First of all let me tell you
something about the history of Casa
Moriones Catering Services. It was founded in 1980. After a decade the company has grown from a Marinduque based restaurant
to a full catering and concessionaire company to cater Metro Manila and Laguna.
In 2005 the now owner of Casa Moriones Ms. Sheila Marie Gido-Lagran took over the company and named it Comida de Sta. Rosa
and in 2011 its name changed to now known as Casa Moriones, named it after the
Moriones Festival. In wikipedia The Moriones is an annual festival
held on Holy Week
on the island of Marinduque, Philippines. The "Moriones" are men
and women in costumes and masks replicating the garb of biblical Roman soldiers
as interpreted by local folks. The Moriones or Moryonan tradition has inspired
the creation of other festivals in the Philippines where cultural practices or
folk history is turned into street festivals.
Casa Moriones
